Call for Papers The 16th International Workshop on Logic & Synthesis May 30 - June 1, 2007 Paradise Point Resort & Spa San Diego, CA (Co-located with the Design Automation Conference) website: www.iwls.org The International Workshop on Logic and Synthesis provides a research forum for the exchange of ideas pertaining to all aspects of synthesis, optimization, and verification of integrated circuits and systems. The emphasis is on novelty and intellectual rigor. The workshop encourages early dissemination of ideas and results. Accepted papers are distributed only to IWLS participants. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to): synthesis and optimization; power and timing analysis; testing and verification; architectures and compilation; and design experiences. Submissions on modeling, analysis and synthesis for emerging technologies and platforms are particularly encouraged. Authors may submit complete papers; these must be no longer than 8 pages, double column, 10-point font. They may also submit extended abstracts, highlighting important new problems in the early stages of development, without providing complete solutions. The workshop format includes paper presentations, posters, invited talks, social lunch and dinner gatherings, and recreational activities. The workshop is sponsored by the IEEE and by the ACM/SIGDA. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Submission deadline for papers (extended): March 16, 2007 (Midnight EST) Notification of acceptance: April 13, 2007 Final version due: April 23, 2007 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Submissions are made electronically through the website: http://www.iwls.org For questions, contact: IWLS_pcchair@sigda.org For travel grants, apply to ACM/SIGDA's travel grant program at: http://www.sigda.org/travelgrants.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For the second time, the workshop includes a programming challenge for students, sponsored by IEEE CEDA. Students compete in the implementation of logic optimization algorithms with the OpenAccess Gear infrastructure. Travel grants and cash prizes are awarded for significant contributions. The winning submissions from last year are now part of the OA Gear release.
