|17th International Workshop on Logic & Synthesis|
Lake Tahoe, CaliforniaJune 4 - June 6, 2008 (Co-located with DAC).
The International Workshop on Logic and Synthesis is the premier forum for research in synthesis, optimization, and verification of integrated circuits. Research on logic synthesis for emerging technologies and for novel computing platforms, such as nanoscale systems and biological systems, is also strongly encouraged. The workshop accepts complete papers as well as abstracts highlighting important new problems in the early stages of development. The emphasis is on novelty and intellectual rigor.
Call for Participation (please post/distribute).
The program consists of 24 regular talks, 4 invited talks and 9 poster presentations. (Paper submission is closed. Accepted papers are distributed only to IWLS participants.)
Coffee and snacks will be served during the breaks.
The invited talks cover the landscape from venture capital funding, to advances in bio-design automation and DNA computing, to the power of procrastination (something that the organizers of the workshop know something about).
|Registration & Accommodation|
The workshop was held at Granlibakken Lodge in Lake Tahoe, California.
The workshop includes a programming challenge. Students compete in the implementation of logic optimization algorithms with the OpenAccess Gear infrastructure. Travel grants and cash prizes are awarded for significant contributions. For more information, see the programming challenge home page.
The IWLS community maintains a set of benchmarks, synthesized and mapped in Verilog and OpenAccess.
